Elementi di ontologia sociale del Metaverso

The horizon of existence in the simulation becomes ever closer to the Metaverse. In such a context, choosing a method to read the darkest and most hermetic passages of this revolution is fundamental. This paper aims to analyze the phenomenon of the Metaverse by applying the theory of the philosopher John R. Searle: “X counts as Y in C.” What is the origin (X) of the Metaverse? What problems does the qualification of the institutional fact (Y) reveal from a philosophical-juridical perspective? Finally, how does collective intentionality present itself in the affirmation of this revolution and, above all, who controls it?
